A beautiful mocha coloured cocktail gown dating from the 1950’s featuring Guipure lace over a self coloured lining and beautiful pleated silk chiffon detail to waist.
The lace has been used to create a pretty scalloped edge to the neckline and also appliquéd onto the waist where it is adorned with faux pearls and metallic beads to catch the light.
The back fastens with a metal zipper and a series of hooks and eyes as expected with the age of the dress.
A striking yet completely timeless addition to your wardrobe and perfect for any special event. I particularly love the idea of pairing the dress with a gorgeous hat for a Mother of the Bride or Groom!
Underarm to hem 31”
Please note that all items are genuine vintage and therefore are several (sometimes many!) decades old! All of our items have been lovingly cleaned and restored so will arrive with a new lease of life and ready to wear; nevertheless there may be some age related signs of wear which will be detailed in the item descriptions.
The nature of vintage garments means they are very delicate and extra care should be taken when trying on and wearing. Please be mindful of jewellery and other accessories that may snag and also of makeup/perfume/deodorants which may stain.
All measurements are taken over the top of the garment so your own measurements should be slightly smaller to allow for wearing ease.
All vintage items are sent tracked and insured for £5.95 in the UK or can be collected from the studio in Stafford ST16 2AW. International buyers please message for a shipping cost prior to purchase.
Thank you for giving one of these beauties a new home. They deserve to be worn and shown off and with the right care will last for years to come!
