For years I’ve owned a beautiful antique 1920’s kimono robe which is sadly too delicate to wear, so one of my lockdown projects was to take a pattern from the original to reproduce a new one for myself. Once it was complete, I loved the shape and style so much that I decided to make it available to everyone! It feels so elegant and special that I thought it would be perfect for my brides during their wedding morning prep, to take away on honeymoon or, if you’re like me, just to wear at home!
The robe can be worn open as a flowing lounge jacket or belted to accentuate the waist and to show off those gorgeous kimono sleeves.
The exclusive fabric is a silky soft imitation silk which is easy to launder and care for and features a hand painted watercolour hydrangea print in blush pinks and purples for a lovely feminine touch. The fabric has been designed in house especially for these robes to make them truly special and unique. The original watercolour hydrangea used for the print was hand painted by myself.
The robe is one size and is displayed on a size 10 mannequin but can accommodate a range of sizes due to the adjustable wrap style.
Measurements:
Bust 46” (will fit up to a 44” bust comfortably)
Length from Shoulder to hem 38”
Sleeve width 22”
